Ms. Gallagher is currently Managing Director in PwC's Cybersecurity, Privacy and Forensics Practice. She is past Co-Chair of HHS ONC's Healthcare IT Standards Committee (HITSC), a Federal Advisory Committee (FACA) in a data security expert role. She has served on the HITSC Precision Medicine Task Force and Standards Advisory Task Force. She previously served as Chair of the HITSC Data Provenance Task Force, Co-Chair of the HITSC Privacy and Security Work Group/Transport and Security Standards WG and was a member of the Patient Matching Power Team. Ms. Gallagher and team provide analysis, assessment and planning for the new HHS (ONC, CMS) interoperability regulations in the healthcare sector (Providers/Payers). In a PwC consulting role, Ms. Gallagher most recently served as the interim CISO for four months at a midwest financial services company, managing the security team and working on the NY DFS compliance program. She also served as interim CISO for eight months at a large healthcare system in the southwest US. Ms. Gallagher leads the PwC Cyber practice's CISO Support Services service offering, providing interim CISO and CISO advisory/coaching services. Ms. Gallagher also works with the team that delivers PwC’s Information Sharing and Analysis (ISAO) offering, which includes consulting and a technical platform and has worked to deliver a 5 hospital proof-of-concept implementation. Ms. Gallagher has over 35 years of professional experience in systems engineering, hardware design, and software development. Ms. Gallagher has concentrated on systems security engineering, development of certification and accreditation guidance and plans, and security engineering process definition. Ms. Gallagher is a certified trust technology evaluator (NSA), has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and is Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) (ISACA). She is a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) and a HIMSS Fellow (FHIMSS). Ms. Gallagher was previously Vice President, Technology Solutions at the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). She previously served as HIMSS Senior Director, Privacy and Security.
