Biographical Info
At Microsoft I continue to bridge the gap between people, technology and culture. I currently lead a team of security consultants who help Microsoft customers overcome security incidents and become more cyber resilient.
I also serve on the Black Hat Briefings and Training Review Boards and am a podcast member for Social-Engineering.org
Prior to joining Accuvant (now Optiv), I was the "Master and Commander" at Black Hat and acquired over a decade of experience building, promoting and managing events in the IT space including two of the most iconic and massively influential IT security events: The Black Hat Briefings+Training and DEF CON. At Black Hat, I managed the growth of brand from obscurity ($250K) to profitability ($18M). The event grew from a three track, two day event to a six day, eleven track and training intense event that brought together the best and the most relevant (and occasionally the most obscure) speakers and content providers to Black Hat events held in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US. During my tenure at Black Hat, I was often referred to as the "The Ping of Death" and fondly as the "Crusher of Souls".
Prior to entering the information security and events space, I worked in brand development and management in publishing, textiles and consumer products. I have extensive experience in design and marketing as well as brand management.
