Sydney Klein served as Vice President and Information Security and Risk Management Executive for Capital One Financial Corporation, a diversified bank with 65 million customer accounts worldwide and more than 900 branch locations in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia. Capital One's subsidiaries offer a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses, and commercial clients through various channels.

Sydney was responsible for ensuring the protection of Capital One’s information assets through the application of security controls. She served as the Information Security Officer and had accountability for Business Information Security Officers, providing information security consultancy, information assurance of third parties, application security, risk management, and remediation support across Capital One’s lines of business.

Sydney joined Capital One in 1999 and held a variety of roles within Information Security during that time. She was instrumental in building many key programs, including Third Party Management Security Oversight, Application Security, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Compliance, and Business Information Security.

Sydney received a B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University. She holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification.
